Goals
- Delivering high-quality of care by solely focusing on outpatient spine surgical procedures that deliver the right care, in the right place to reduce health risks and increase patient comfort.
- Decreasing costs of care by transitioning appropriate spine surgeries that are currently all performed in an acute hospital setting to the appropriate outpatient setting.
- Increasing access and care coordination by operating with a primary single specialty of caring for those in the communities we serve in need of spine surgical procedures and treatment.
- Enhancing availability of care by providing greater scope of spine surgical procedures and pain management in an ambulatory outpatient setting and out of the inpatient hospital setting, and serving as a complement to the limited low-acuity/low-complexity spine procedures currently provided by other spine centers in Delaware and the region.
- Increasing access as a comprehensive, high-quality ambulatory outpatient spine surgery center with 23-hour stay capacity by not being impacted by the scheduling of higher priority or trauma related spine surgeries.
